Logan's speech teacher has a pool and, at the end of the school year (and speech), said we could come by any time we wanted this summer. It ends up that she lives really close to us.
Although we have the river in our backyard, a pool is always a fun alternative to keeping cool - especially when it has a slide
and a diving board.
Although we have the river in our backyard, a pool is always a fun alternative to keeping cool - especially when it has a slide
and a diving board. The kids got daring on the diving board and played games doing tricks off of it.
Logan was very tentative at first - having me catch him at the bottom of the slide (even though he was wearing his life jacket and he could easily stand once in the water - the slide is at the shallow end). But by the end he would have me get in the water in front of the diving board (on a noodle) so I could catch him as he jumped off and push him toward the side (he still had his life jacket on). We've been a few times this summer, and will go some more, and are thankful to Miss Paula for the use of her pool.
