Honoring Those Who Serve

Alyssa wrote this poem, for Veteran's Day, at school. Although it didn't get picked to be read at the assembly - I think it is great. Our thought go out to my brother serving in Iraq and all those who are serving and have served to protect the rights and freedoms we enjoy.

Who Is A Hero?

Spiderman, the Tick, Wonder Woman,
They are all amazing.
They have superpowers.
They save young men and pretty ladies.
They dedicate themselves
To rid the world of evil.

Mr. Incredible, Superman, Batman.
Some can fly,
They're all handsome,
Awe inspiring.
They dedicate themselves
To rid the world of evil.

But there is one that has all.
They are amazing.
They have the power to love and endure.
They save men and women.
Some soar high in the sky.
They are all handsome in God's eyes.
They are awe inspiring.
They dedicate themselves
To rid the world of evil.
They are our soldiers.
