A Quick Trip

Robert's parents came into town on their way to a week in Hilton Head. We tagged along for the weekend and had a wonderful time!
Flat Stanley arrived just in time to come as well.
The first order of business was a walk on the beach!
Watching a beautiful sunset!
The next morning, breakfast couldn't be eaten fast enough, but we quickly made it out to the beach. We had to restock our sand toys for the trip.
The water was chilly, but the kids soon got use to it.
As the tide went out it created a great little pool of water and then exposed a sandbar - great for playing on.
It is always fun playing in the sand.
Natalie liked "warming" herself up on the soft sand before running back into the water.
We loved spending time with Grandma and Grandpa.
By one of the pools, there where games for playing. The wind added some excitement to the game of ping pong.
The boys really liked practicing with ladder ball.
After lunch we spent some time poolside. There were a lot of pool sides to choose from and the kids tried out a bunch of them.
After dinner, another walk on the beach. Although I think Logan was stuck in 'run' mode and loved chasing the seagulls and having Natalie and Jake come with him.
We found some sand art left from the day - here are the boys with an alligator they found.Nothing beats an evening walk on the beach.
Well, maybe some time in the jet tub is just as fun.
We headed back out our last morning - overcast and really windy!
A short walk, going seemed to take us twice as long walking into the wind. The wind did make for some cool looking sand blowing across the beach.
One more quick dip in the pool, indoor this time, before having lunch and heading home.
Robert's parents will stay the week and come back to visit for the weekend before heading back to UT. We are so glad they asked us to join them for a little while at the beach.
We had a marvelous time!
