It all started the Wednesday before Halloween with Trunk-or-Treat at church with friends.
Logan was Darth Vader and Jake a ninja, but with no masks at the trunk-or-treat, you'll see their full costumes later in the post.Robert went as the half-bearded chicken man.
I even dressed up as a frazzled mom - no pictures, but I got lots of chuckles. After a chili, corn bread, and mac and cheese dinner, there were games for prizes!
Ring the pumpkin person,
Natalie made a girl ghost running away from a unibrowed boy ghost - silly 6th graders.
We enjoyed some and gave some away.
Sunday we finally got to carving the pumpkins. Natalie and Jake worked on one and Alyssa and Logan worked on one. All Logan wanted was a "jack-o-lantern".
So they planned,
and enjoyed some yummy pumpkin bread some friends brought over.We ended up with a happy ninja and a "jack-o-lantern."

Halloween night came. The front porch was decorated.
Here are the boys in full costume
ready to go trick-or-treating.I love trick-or-treating, so I always take the kid around the neighborhood while Robert mans the house.
It was a school night so we set out as early as possible.
Logan got tired near the end and would wait with me while the others went up to a house. We always love the decorations at the last house before we head down the hill to go back home. This year they had a guy under a rock! along with the other decorations.
