We started out the week with some Christmas activities.
Monday we made and built our gingerbread house.
A friend was in town to work with Robert and joined in the fun.
We used our left over Halloween candy and cookies we had in the house.
We tried a new gingerbread recipe that worked great.
The interesting thing with the recipe is that you decorate the pieces before assembling them.
It took a bit longer, having to wait for the frosting to set before putting it together, but we didn't have decorations sliding off and we didn't need a lot of frosting to stick things on.
It was pretty cool.
We started late, on a school night, so we assembled it the next day once the kids got home.

They can't wait to dig into it Christmas Eve. It has become our table's centerpiece.
Tuesday Natalie had her Christmas chorus concert.
They were great! We had a fun time listening to all the music - getting us even more into the holiday spirit.
