Good Times at School

Jake received an award, this last quarter of school. It was the Principle's Award - for overall good citizenship and outstanding academic achievement.
While this is a great accomplishment, look carefully at his smile. He got six braces on the day before and has been smiling with his lips curled back every since.
We are hoping with "phase one" to expand and make some room for teeth coming in, that he won't have to have "phase two" - full braces - once he's done with this in a year.
We're crossing our fingers.

At the beginning of the school year Logan, along with the rest of his class, made an outline of his body and colored it.
Throughout the year one student at a time was taken and the class talked about nouns, adjectives, and verbs that could describe that student. Each student would then draw a picture and write some sentences about the one being spotlighted.
Logan, being first in last name alphabetical order had his picture put up first, but taken down last. He started getting nervous that the end of the school year was coming and they hadn't done "All About Logan" yet.
This past week they got to his picture!
He brought it home and has had it laid out on the living room floor for the last two days (I finally convinced him today to put it up in his room).
Here is the picture of Logan sitting with Logan and the book "All About Logan" being held Logan's hand.
He loves reading through the book and seeing what each of his classmates wrote about him.
A small daddy-long leg spider was crawling across his paper one time and he said "Mom, get that spider off of me!"
He has loved kindergarten and all his friends and can't wait for 1st grade!
