We've been watching them . . . gather.

We've been watching them . . . circling silently.

We hear the occasional fluttering of wings . . . as they move from one tree to another.

Izzy has noticed them too . . . and watches.

Not just any birds . . . turkey vultures.
It makes driving and walking by the trees, that holds dozens and dozens and
DOZENS of them, a bit unnerving.
Should we be concerned?!

I thought it was just us! We've had creepy amounts of buzzards in the woods lately. I'm kind of glad to know we're not alone, but not glad that anybody else has so many icky vultures hanging around.
We had turkey vultures at our old apartment. They didn't do anything really but spookily loom around. The trees they hung out in were right at the road and so if they parked for a period of time there they had nice white splashes of poop all over their cars. The vultures also broke a small tree branch or two. But that was all. Good luck! They will probably leave in a couple weeks but may be back again next year!
