Rec soccer has begun, and Logan couldn't be happier. He is on a team with one of his best friends
(whose dad is the coach, and whose mom I get to sit and chat with!)
and he gets snacks after every game or practice!
Winning their first game 8-0 doesn't hurt either (not that they keep official score in his age bracket). He had a great assist to his friend and, as they were running back from the goal, his friend says "it's like you made half the goal!"
Alyssa is in the middle of her track season. She runs the 800m, 1600m, 3200m, and 4x400 relay - of course not all at the same meet, but always one, sometimes two events.
(Alyssa is in blue)
She has loved training for shorter distances (relative to cross country's 5k's) and can't wait to use her speed techniques during cross country season next year!

She has hit an under 6min mile and loves the feeling when she gets a new PR in an event.
Natalie is at the end of her school soccer season.
They have done well and had a lot of fun with a 7-2-1 (W-L-T) record.
She usually plays forward and scores regularly for her team.
They are sad the last game is this week, but not to be away from soccer too long, Natalie asked to start rec soccer as well and there was one spot left.
She's on a team with a couple of her school teammates and others she's played with for years.
There are fewer and fewer that signup for rec soccer, as they get older. There are only two girls teams and two boys teams in her age bracket. Instead of mixing them up and playing co-ed, they are just playing playing all the teams against each other. Natalie's first game was against a boys team. They lost 3-5. It was a good game and we can't wait for the rest of the season.
Not to be left out, Jake and Robert are training for a 5k. We're looking forward to finding a 5k to run as a family after the end of the school year.
