One of my favorite games the kids play together is "store."
Last Monday, after cleaning up, and with a day off of school, the stores were set up. They used a deck of cards for money, with the face value of the cards being the amount of dollars.
Alyssa did quite an extensive one this time - an interactive planetarium. She looked a lot of information up on-line as she set up.
They played hop-scotch on the planet names to get into the main room.
There she had covered the window with black paper which she punched with holes to make stars.
They answered different questions about the planet and she made a model of the planet, to scale, on the wall.
There was a spot where you could weigh yourself and then calculate what you would weigh on different planets depending on their gravity.
She also sold "flying saucer" cookies.
They were a hit.
Jake had a bedding store. It was a place where they could lay down and take a rest when they were tired.
Natalie loves putting together a spa or pet store. This time she combined both into one store.
You could buy pets and/or get a massage, facial, or your nails and hair done. You could also purchase spa items such as lotion, slippers, a mirror, or candy.
Playing store keeps them busy for HOURS! And they play really well together the whole time. They open and close their stores so they can all rotate and enjoy each other "businesses." Logan just loves running from place to place and being involved with his older siblings.
A great day had by all!

What a great idea! I wonder what kind of stores my kids would come up with? Probably Sports, Sports, and Princess.
Sounds like such a fun day!! I love it when the kids get along so well together.
