While the girls and I were in Savannah - Robert and the boys had fun at home.
Since I had the camera, no pictures of their weekend, but here's the lowdown.
There were two days of school for Jake, but they went by fast. Logan got to spend Thursday at a friend's house, whom he loves! All this week he was asking when we were going to Sharlee's. Seriously, he wouldn't mind if he was adopted into that family! Thanks Sharlee!
The big plans for the boys was Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull on Friday night!
A few of Jake's friends and their dads came over.
They ate great guy food - including wings and M&Ms and watched the movie. And Jake and Logan couldn't stop talking about it.
They already love Jones thanks to Lego Indiana Jones on the Wii and watching the movie got them in the grove again.
Logan found Natalie's pink cowgirl hat and a belt she had made - the "Jones hat" and "whip" were all he needed for hours/days of fun pretending to be Indiana Jones.
He did tell me that he needed a brown Jones hat (we're looking), but he'll make due until we find one. This will also be a great picture to show when he gets older.
We also used a line from the movie to get Jake to eat his dinner the other night. I had made honey mustard chicken legs and baked potatoes - Jake doesn't like chicken or potatoes (unless they're french fries). He said he would only eat the meatloaf. When I told him it was chicken, he didn't want to eat dinner anymore.
Transforming a line in the movie, when Indiana Jones is in the quick sand and Mutt throws him a snake to pull him out - Indiana Jones won't touch the snake and finally tells them to call it a rope, "just call it a rope! say 'grab the rope!' " (sorry that trying to type it in doesn't do the scene justice - wish I could put in the clip)
We called the chicken, meatloaf. "Just call it meatloaf!" Jake did finally eat it.
Jake had been counting down to "guys weekend" for a month - it was all he had hoped it would be!
