After frequent checks of the river level, it was finally low enough to go for our first swim!
Not as low as it will be in a couple more weeks, but a good shallow stretch at the edge for Logan to play in
and plenty of river to splash in
or just float down. We're glad we had friends over to share it with.

Saturday I dropped Robert and Natalie at a spot upstream and they kayaked down to our house. A bit crazy not knowing what the river would be like, but the river was great and they had a blast. They saw cool trees and otters and beavers. It took them 1 1/2 hours - good to know.
Monday Robert took all the kids
from our house to the bridge just down the street,
where I picked them up about 1/2 hour later. Yes, everyone has a life jacket on - although we are one short (good thing I needed to drive to pick them up) and Jake's is a bit too small.
Logan wanted to go again right away.
Soon - before the river gets too low.
