Yesterday was the first day of soccer practice. Alyssa, Natalie and Jake are playing this season. The county rec. people, without knowing it, were very good to me. Saturday practices are all withing 2 hours (Natalie and Jake 15 min. apart and Alyssa right after) and on fields right next to each other. Jake and Natalie have their weekday practice at the same day and time right across the street from each other, Alyssa is on another night. This seems like and even easier season, schedule wise, than last season with just the girls playing!
We have been hoping Tropical Storm Fay would come a little further north and bring some much needed rain. We have only gotten the very outskirts of clouds and rain (not very much, but some). The weather has been cooler and we are loving it. It did put a literal damper on the first day of soccer practice. Jake's and Alyssa's practices were canceled, but Natalie practiced. I took her and the boys with me. The boys had a blast playing with the umbrella and trying to hold on to it when the wind would pick up (I had a hard time holding onto the umbrella when the wind picked up!). When it would rain, I took the umbrella and the boys enjoyed playing in the misting rain.
