Every spring the Poultry Department has Family Day. Families of the undergraduate students can come up and take a tour of the facilities and learn more about the program.
It was a gorgeous day! Sunny and cool but warm in the sun - we all got a little sun.
The kids did a bit of their own Survivor challenge with seeing how long they could stand up on a post -
- it didn't last hours, just long enough to be really fun.
There was a great lunch - grilled chicken (they have a great seasoned liquid grilling something they have for the chicken), hot dogs and hamburgers.
And then the faculty and staff team up against the undergraduates in a softball game.

Here's Robert warming up a bit before the game.
There was a member of Robert's team who had in injured knee and couldn't run, so Natalie was his runner. Below she is standing on first waiting for the next batter to hit (short sleeves and jeans).
The faculty/staff have never lost this match-up, but this year they got pretty close to losing that streak.Until Robert hit a two run homer to bring the faculty/staff back on top!
They couldn't even find the ball!
