This was the big one!
The chorus show they've been looking forward too all year, especially the 8th graders.
They have concerts during the year, but at the end the 8th graders come up with a theme and there is singing, dancing, costume changes, and skits.
The theme this year was "As Seen on TV." Taking the music selections from TV shows and theme songs.
It was a lot of fun. There are boys in chorus in the younger grades - the picture below is them singing the theme song to the Andy Griffith Show. It's not just whistling there are words!
Other teachers also get involved in this event - as in singing and dancing.
Teachers do leave the classroom!

One of the favorites of the night was "Fame."
Alyssa is in the purple workout ensemble with the blue tights and pink leg warmers.
The Dectens sang this one and had a bunch of teachers join the group as well.
This was Alyssa's last middle school chorus show.
I must confess I got a bit teary-eyed when I was editing the video. I'll probably be a mess when she a senior in high school!
