This past Tuesday the middle school chorus held their spring concert. This is the biggest production of the year. A lot of time and effort goes into it and it shows.
The theme this year was "Hooray for Hollywood" with songs coming from various hit movies through the years.
It is a long concert and last year the boys weren't too happy about being there all evening. This year Jake had a soccer game the same night, so Robert took all the kids to the game and I went to watch Alyssa.
Being in the 7th grade chorus and in Decatens, Alyssa was rushing all concert to change from one costume into another for different songs. Once she was performing in back to back songs, she made it back on stage in time.
They have a lot of "guest" appearances throughout the concert, including many teachers and even the principle.
Here is one of the 7th grade songs with a special appearance by "Ray Charles" for the song "Hit the Road Jack."
Alyssa is in the second row. You can see her between the second and third person in the first row, from the left, in the pink hat.
Below is the Decatens singing most of "9 to 5." I had to cut out some of the beginning so it would load. The mics on the soloists weren't working, so that part is soft. Alyssa is at the table in the middle - at the front right - jeans, white shirt, black jacket. You can see her walk around to her spot in the second row.
