Celebrating his birthday, this past Friday, means that Robert only has one more year until he's 40!
The kids and I had a plan A and plan B, but we went with plan C - Robert's way.
Jake picked the cake - a mint Oreo cake. Because Robert is more of a pie man, I made him one of his favorites - blackberry.
We went bowling, in the afternoon, with some friends. Avery and Logan watch the rest of us with great anticipation
and even rolled the ball down the lane a few times themselves - but then were content with playing around the seats and on the truck.
After an hour the lights went out and the black lights, music and smoke machine went on! It was great!
Gotta love the glow!
After the kids bowled a game and the adults bowled two, Robert won the second one, we all headed back home for homemade pizza (Robert's crust and sauce) and birthday dessert
and presents. (Natalie is adding things to the Happy Birthday poster.)
Everyone got him a present. Logan got him a Winnie-the-Pooh birthday balloon (I think that was more for him), Alyssa got him the traditional peanut M&Ms, Natalie got him a UGA key chain, Jake got him a little UGA Bulldog that now sits by our front door (we're official!). He also got a cool UGA golf shirt (it's super cool because it can hang to dry and not wrinkle - no extra ironing for me).
Happy Birthday, Robert!
