Natalie has been very excited for Halloween this year. She has also loved having any chance to bake. The other day she asked if she could make pumpkin cookies. She choose a gingerbread cookie recipe and did it all herself.
After cutting them out (she let Jake cut some out as well) and baking them, she couldn't wait to decorate them.
I made frosting and we got out our sprinkles and candy corn. Some of the cookies we decorated with candy corn before we baked them. She liked her "vampire" one (all teeth with fangs) - that is what she is going to be for Halloween. And Jake liked the one with the "laser vision" (candy corn sticking straight out for the eyes) - he took that one for lunch the next day at school. They turned out great and very yummy.
Thanks for the cookies, Natalie.
