MINE!!

Logan is into the lovely "mine" stage of toddlerhood. You learn to take it with a grain of salt, letting most things slide and try and teach them to share, trade, take turns, etc. Today in church was a different story.
Logan was sitting on Robert's lap and grabbed his tie. "Mine!" Logan said, pulling at the tie. "Mine! Mine!" The tie started to get pulled and loosened (maybe it was Robert who was loosening it so he wouldn't get choked). "Mine!" This went on for a while. Logan would pull on it, sitting in Robert's lap, then get off and pull on it while he was standing. He even tried to walk away pulling at the tie. All the while saying "Mine!" Natalie thought the tie would stretch out, Logan was pulling on it so much.
Finally Robert unbuttoned his collar and took off his tie. Logan was happy. Then he put the tie over Logan's head, under his collar and fitted it to his neck. Logan was a bit concerned. It only stayed on a few moments longer before Logan was ready to get it off! Robert put it back on and as soon as it was buttoned down and adjusted, Logan reaches and pulls on it, "Mine!"
It was all Natalie and Alyssa could do to stifle their giggles, we were in church after all and were not being the most reverent bunch watching this display of the toddler rule of "Mine!"
