Is The Week Half Gone?!

Wednesday was our calmer day of the week.
One of the mid-week Enrichment activities our ward (church) does is a playgroup. Wednesday we met at Memorial Park in Athens. They have a little zoo (little being the key word), a lake with lots of geese and turtles, and playground areas (along with a few other things). It was a perfect day, sunny and cool - I even had Logan in pants. So, after Logan and I went to get the van tuned up we headed over there.
Logan did a fabulous job waiting in the auto shop's small waiting room, thanks in part to a very nice man who rolled a little metal ball with him on the floor for about 20 minutes.
At the park he couldn't wait to play with his friends, but soon got distracted with all the geese around.
(those are turtles on the log behind the goose)
When it was time to go he didn't want to, but we walked back through the little zoo area and he got to see a deer. That got him chatting about deer all the way home, about: seeing the deer in the tree, shooting the deer, the deer we saw crossing the road a few month back and how they had jumped over the fence. When we got home . . . he wanted to watch the hunting video that had come with Robert's tree stand.
There was nothing going on in the evening, so we headed out to Target (I hadn't made it there during the day) to get some things Alyssa needed for school and a present for the birthday party Jake is going to on Friday. It was nice to have a more relaxed day. I think we are all getting tired!! Thursday is breakfast at school with Natalie's class and Alyssa's last soccer game before tournament starts for her. Our less scheduled day is over. It was nice while it lasted.
