Jake has been so excited for his birthday this year.
He turned 8! this past Saturday.
As he is all into Legos, he wanted a Lego cake - and was ok with just a couple of figures on the cake (I'll attempt a more action packed cake for the party with his friends).
Zane, ninja of ice - hence the "ice" mountain - and Nukals.
As tradition, Jake got to choose what he wanted for his birthday dinner - pizza! He also invited over he good friend, Charlie, and his family. They are going to be moving in a couple of weeks and will miss Jake's party with his friends.
We loved having them join us for his birthday dinner.
Jake wanted to open presents before having cake and ice cream.
Jake loved the gift they brought and had it put together later that night.
A cool hand cranked green light.
He loved his other gifts as well - especially the book on all the Star Wars light sabers!
Now it was time to sing Happy Birthday
and blow out candles. Having opened presents already, I wonder what he wished for?!
He had been looking forward to turning 8 as it means that he'll be getting baptized and starting scouts.
He'll get baptized this Sunday, but scouts will have to wait until school starts again (they don't hold it during the summer).
Happy Birthday, Jake!
