The day after school was out, the library held a Family Fun day to help kick off the summer reading program. I'm usually not one to go somewhere that will be really crowded, but Alyssa was helping out and we went early.
They had a lot of fun things - a petting zoo, pony rides,
an inflatable bouncing house,
even a magic show.
Alyssa was helping inside with making bracelets and bookmarks, there was temporary tattoos, bubbles, and popcorn. All free!
We stayed for a couple of hours, got our reading logs, and the kids had a lot of fun.
Reading isn't a problem in our house - Natalie will soon have her reading log filled and get to choose a book. I'm having Jake read to Logan, so double prizes there! (They can each fill in the books on their log, being read to counts.)
As the sign at school says: Have a great summer and READ! READ! READ!
